A New Spot

The office has always been a tight squeeze for the finance department, but it has started to become unbearable lately.  We were able to move around a bit so that we'd have more space for paperwork and such.  I was pretty happy with the space I had because my view was unbeatable, but we all knew that we had to make a change.

I don't have quite the same view now, but with more space...  well, it's nice.

Here's my new view:

This is my view to the right.
Chris sits there, but he was on vacation.

This is my view straight ahead and to the left a little.

This is my view to the left.
Hello, Frannie!  Poor girl used to have to sit in my right armpit.

Colin sits across from me now.  He wasn't sitting there at the time.

Today's Rag Throw

Just felt like making something today and decided that I wanted it to be quick and light.  Rag quilts are so simple... especially if you have pre-cut fabric.  I found a collection of 2 1/2 inch rainbow fabric strips I bought years ago.  After ironing them, I paired them up and sewed them together in strips.

This is the front of the throw.  You sew the strips together with the seams
in the front so that after you cut and wash it, the ragging is in the front.

This is the back of the throw.

You can see the small cuts I've made in the seams.  You have to make
these cuts on each seam and all the way around the whole perimeter.
It's messy, time-consuming and your fingers are cramped.

This is what it looked like after I washed and dried it.

Up a bit closer.

Mr. Smith held it up for a photo.  Sorry for the poor lighting.  Bummer.
