I am Nerissa, a Filipino living in Italy.
We ...Hi! I am Nerissa, a Filipino living in Italy.
We just started a website dedicated to the lives of all those living in a country other than the one where they were born. Thru PeopleAbroad.org we intend to increase connections, awareness, and understanding among people.
We would like to ask you to contribute to the website by writing one single post with photos and/or videos about any region of the world. Your post will be linked to your personal websites, blogs, Facebook pages, Twitter account, and/or anything else you like, in order to promote your own activity.
If possible, we would also like you to write your story (bio - where you live and how you decided to live your life abroad) – example: https://www.peopleabroad.org/nerissa-filipino-living-in-italy/.
To contribute, it is not necessary to live in a different country from where you were born, but simply to know a bit of the world by having lived, studied, or traveled abroad.
Please, sign up to our website at https://www.peopleabroad.org/register/ and send all your files with things you would like to share (your story and/or your posts) by email to people(at)peopleabroad(dot)org. In case of big files, send them by WETRANSFER.
Since this website is still under construction, we do not have yet made it available to search engines for indexation. So, to access it, just type www.PeopleAbroad.org.
We are just starting and that is why your help is essential. We would love to see you onboard!
All the best,
Nerissa
PeopleAbroad.org
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04630526462458824586noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148789478277613818.post-10296130352038518252016-06-10T00:12:12.075+10:002016-06-10T00:12:12.075+10:00Worried and embarrassed beyond belief.Worried and embarrassed beyond belief.TheYvetteRenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04070014561412843762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148789478277613818.post-90520490923800345782016-06-09T23:44:00.942+10:002016-06-09T23:44:00.942+10:00On the counterside - Donald Trump, after making se...On the counterside - Donald Trump, after making several racist statements, is the presumptive nominee for the same election. You never know who is going to walk into your life, we just have to be open to them, introvert or extrovert.
And, on the "energy stealer," I don't think it's so much about stealing the spotlight, but I feel pushed to rise to the extrovert energy level, which depletes the stores of energy I came in with. The thing I actually really appreciate about extroverts is that they always keep the conversation going!Cristinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08507937934533200682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148789478277613818.post-57933372471328587212016-05-22T09:58:57.742+10:002016-05-22T09:58:57.742+10:00I would LOVE to sew a quilt just for you (I 100% m...I would LOVE to sew a quilt just for you (I 100% machine quilt)! I love doing it for people who can appreciate it. And yes, it's a very expensive hobby. I just had a class today. There were five of us in the class and the teacher. We created folded log cabin blocks. Very interesting. Plus, I have way over-extended myself for the next month. LOL! I had no idea how expensive quilting was! W...Yowie! I had no idea how expensive quilting was! When I was little there was a quilting group that met at our church. The women would gather and sit around this giant (it may have been giant because I was little) table thing. I think the table had no top, just a frame. The women would cut squares of fabric from left over fabric, and then sew some stuffing material between the two squares. I think they did this at home. Then, they'd meet at church and sew the squares together (mind you this was all by hand - I never remember seeing a machine, only women with thimbles) in to sections an then, connect the sections together to make a quilt. I remember thinking this was boring, but now I think that we need more of these. The community aspect: sitting, sewing, and being social. I wish I had one of these quilts. One more quilt story. We used to have a quilt that I think my dad's mom or aunt made. I loved it because it was soft and so very heavy and warm. To this day I have two (store bought) quilts on my bed to recreate the feeling of that quilt.

I can't wait to see what you create!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12369100439226129122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2148789478277613818.post-61239806215812296032016-05-16T06:33:32.595+10:002016-05-16T06:33:32.595+10:00I haven't taken to vampires, witches or zombie...I haven't taken to vampires, witches or zombies either.
